Twante

Once a major port city, it lies some 36 miles away from Yangon and a two-hour drive from Dala, the opposite bank of Yangon
At Twante, the ancient city wall, palace-site, Shwesandaw pagoda can be enjoyed together with the complete process of pottery production. Twante canal is itself interesting dug in colonial period. A great number of ancient glaze kilns have been already found at Tawgyitan region, further distance from the town but it is pretty difficult in access there. Though a town, it rather resembles a rural community in countryside.

Thanlyin

Different from the hurly-burly urban society, you can take a day trip to a small town named Thanlyin. On the way, the ethnic villages can be dropped for their different ways of life style. Thanlyin was well-known as Syriam to Europe, even in the early l7th century.

Portugese Church

There is a 250-year old church, stood still but shell, in Thanlyin.

Kyaikkhauk Pagoda

Kyaikkhauk is the largest stupa in the region. Yelaipaya and Padagyi are the other visiting points in leisure tour.
