Yangon-Inle-Kalaw-Pindaya-Taunggyi-Kakku-Inlw-Mandalay-Amarapura-Sagaing-Mandalay-Bagan-
Mt.Popa-Yangon (10 Days / 9 Nights)
Itinerary:
Day 01 Yangon
Arrive at Yangon International Airport
and transfer to hotel. Start Yangon sightseeing by visiting
Chaukhtatgyi (Reclining Buddha Image), Karaweik Hall, Royal
barge on the Royal Lake, Sule Pagoda, Maha Bandoola Park
with Independent Monument, China Town with the fruit market
and World famous Shwedagon Pagoda with the golden dome light
up sunshine at sunset. Overnight at hotel in Yangon.
Day 02 Yangon-Heho-Inle
Morning transfer to airport for flight to
Heho. Transfer to Inle Lake which is famous for its unique
leg rowers and scenic beauties. Visit Paung Daw Oo Pagoda,
floating gardens, floating markets, native method of
fishing, traditional weaving industry, village life on the
lake and Nga phe gyaung Monastery for jumping cats.
Overnight at hotel in Inle.
Day 03 Inle-Kalaw-Pindaya-Inle
Drive to Kalaw. Proceed to Pindaya and
visit Pindaya Caves, Boketaloke Lake, Paper-making and
Umbrella-making domestic industries. Return to Inle.
Overnight at hotel in Inle.
Day 04 Inle-Taunggyi-Kakku-Inle
Drive to Taunggyi, the capital of Shan
State. Proceed to the famous site of Kakku which is on the
south of Taunggyi. It takes one and a half hours to get
there. There are about 2548 stupas about 2000 years old.
The highlight of the site is the architecture of the stupas.
They have different architectural styles. Visit Pa O tribal
village. Return to Inle. Overnight at hotel in Inle.
Day 05 Inle-Heho-Mandalay
Morning transfer to airport for flight to
Mandalay. Start Mandalay sightseeing by visiting
Mahagandayone Monastery where over a thousand monks are
studying, U Bein teak bridge, Mahamuni Buddha Image,
Tapestry domestic industry, Marble-carving workshop,
Goldleaf-beating workshop, Silk-weaving domestic industry,
Kyauktawgyi Pagoda, Shwenandaw Monastery noted for its
exquisite wood carving, Kuthodaw Pagoda which is the World’s
Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures,
Sulamani Pagoda and Mandalay Palace. In the evening, enjoy
the sunset from Mandalay Hill. Overnight at hotel in
Mandalay.
Day 06 Mandalay-Amarapura-Sagaing-Mandalay
Drive to Amarapura and observe the ways
of life of Buddhist monks by visiting Mahagandayon Monastery
where over a thousand monks are studying. Take photos of the
scenic beauty from U Bein teak bridge. Then, proceed to
Sagaing Hill. Hillside are filed with many pagodas and
monasteries. Visit Kaunghmudaw Pagoda, Pottery-making
village and Silversmith workshop. Return to Mandalay.
Overnight at hotel in Mandalay.
Day 07 Mandalay-Pyin Oo Lwin- Mandalay
Drive to Pyin Oo Lwin. Visit National
Kandawgyi Park, Chinese Temple, Maha Arnt Htoo Kan Tha
Marble Stone Seated Buddha Image, Pwe Kauk Waterfall and
Peik Chin Myaung Cave. Return to Mandalay. Overnight at
hotel in Mandalay.
Day 08 Mandalay-Bagan
Transfer to airport for flight to Bagan.
Arrive at Nyaung U Airport. Start Bagan sightseeing by
visiting Nyaung U Market, Shwe Zigon Pagoda which is the
prototype of Late Myanmar stupa, Htilominlo Temple noted for
its fine plaster carvings, Gubyaukgyi Temple with mural
paintings, Traditional Lacquerware Industry in Myinkaba
Village, Archaeological Museum, Ananada Temple which is an
architectural master piece of resembling a Greek cross of
the Early-Style temple, Thabbyinnyu Temple which is the
highest temple in Bagan and Dhammayangyi Temple noted for
its remarkable brickwork. Enjoy sunset over the site from
the upper terrace of Shwesandaw Pagoda. Overnight at hotel
in Bagan.
Day 09 Bagan-Mt.Popa-Yangon
Drive to Mt. Popa, an extinct volcano,
and the home of the powerful spirits called “Nats”. Climb
777 steps to get to the top and enjoy the panoramic view of
the areas. Drop in and observe jaggery production on the way
back to Bagan. Transfer to airport for flight to Yangon.

Day 10 Yangon
Visit Bogyoke Aung San (Scott) Market to
buy souvenirs, handicrafts, gems and jewellery. Transfer to
airport for departure. |
