Mandalay
Myan Nan San Kyaw Grand Palace
Since it has retained most of the impressive features of
bulwark, rampart, battlement, centinel to watch crowned by
spiral roof together with water-moat round, it is highly
regarded as the best stroll point and for photo, especially,
early morning and late evening.

Atumashi Monastery
It is one of the seven monuments built in 1875 A.D by King
Mindon. Curiously, it is done in European architecture and
closely similar to the ground plan of Borobudur in
Indonesia.

Mandalay Hill
Mandalay Hill is located to the north-east of the city and
rises 230 metre (or) 954 feet above the surrounding area.
The image and hall of Su Tung Pyae is donated in 1226 M.E
(1864 AD), in spire-roof by King Mindon.

Mahamyatmuni (Rakhine Buddha Image)
Mahamyatmuni or Rakhine Buddha is one of the most venerated spots
and famous Buddha images in Myanmar as well as abroad. The grand
Buddha image covered a two-inch layer of gold as a result; its other
name is "The soft-gold Buddha image". Washing the face of the Buddha
image ceremony has been handed down the centuries performed upon
Mahamyatmuni. Other things worthy seeing at the temple are antique
objects and bronze images of Hindu gods in the Cambodian style.
There are six images; Erawan (Indra's triple headed elephant, two
gatekeepers and three lions.)

Mahalawkamarazein or Kuthodaw Pagoda
It is known as the world’s biggest book and located on a spacious
land at the foot of Mandalay Hill in Mandalay. It was one of the
seven monuments founded by King Mindon. The stone-slabs were
systematically set in row by row and composed in beautiful
ground-plan encircle to the centre-pagoda.

Shwe Inbin Monastery
Shwe Inbin retains almost all the essential architectural features
of an ancient Myanmar monastery. These features are Kyaung-U Pyat-That
(the eastern pavilion with an altar and a Buddha image on it),
Sanu-Saung (the covered passage-hall connecting the eastern pavilion
and the main hall), Saung-Ma (the main hall) and Bawga-Saung (the
store-room on the extreme west).

Shwenandaw Monastery
Shwe Kyaung monastery, originally, it was one of the palaces
of King Mindon and chief Queen Sakya Oevi was built at the
north of the Royal Palace. King Thibaw moved it to the
present site in order to offer the monks. In order to
construct in a traditional style, King Thibaw, caused it to
have a pinnacle, spires, vane, sikhara and other tine
decorations. Around these, there are wood carving of ten
great Jatakas made with great artistic details.

Zay Cho Market
"Zay Cho market" is well-known for its cheaper price as well
as the nuiance of the dealers. The new Zay Cho market is
composed of 8 buildings in rows; all are four-storey
buildings, except B complex since its basis is a six-storey
building.
