Bagan
Shwezigon
Shwezigon is the most prominent stupa in Bagan
Nyaung U and one of the famous pagodas in Myanmar. This stupa is the
high-point of Myanmar stupa architecture and in well proportionate
structure. Shwezigon is the prototype and an ideal model of late
stupas in Myanmar since it is harmoniously elaborated by much of the
essential features of a stupa. There are many interesting things and
objects, just like the lithic-inscriptions, stone carvings, wood
carvings, bronze casting and so on.

Sapada Stupa
Sapada is known for its unique architecture. It is a solid
stupa closely resembled to Thuparama stupa in Srilanka.

Kyaukku Umin
It is one of the popular caves and lies some two miles to
the east of Nyaung U known as one of the four
stone-buildings and for its excellent stone carvings.

Ananda Temple
This temple should be regarded as the glory and impressive idol of
Bagan period bestowed upon its unique ground plan and excellent
decoration. The ground plan is second to none but in such a peculiar
design in excellent perfect Greek Cross.

Ananda brick monastery
Ananda brick monastery is a small brick building resting on a raised
precint of about 4 feet height. The interior-walls are fully covered
with beautiful mural paintings.

Nyan paya
It was first built as Hindu temple but exactly not Buddhist
monument. It is one-storey building in a square ground-plan with a
porch projection to the east. Nanpaya is a brick building with stone
facing exterior. The temple is also set with stone perforated
windows on the walls and noted for its stone-carvings The
stone-carving is complete execution and high proportionate showing
the dexterity and masterpiece work of Bagan era.

Nagayon Temple
The Nagayon Temple has the main building in square ground-plan with
a projecting hall facing to the north, with 5 stone perforated
windows on the massive walls.

Dhammarajika Stupa
Dhammarajika has its own peculiarity together with the similarities
of earlier monuments. Interior -walls of these five
lateral temples are covered with mural paintings and
ink-inscriptions of contemporary Bagan period.

Payathonzu Temple
Three distinct square buildings incorporate a triad temple by means
of narrow lateral passages leading from one building to another. The
Parathonzu Temple is much more similar to the ground-plans of the
East Zegu Temple and Shwenyaungbingon Temple at Sriksetra Pyu city.
The mural paintings are covered entirely on the walls of eastern
temple, half on the central one. All the paintings closely resemble
to Northern Indian style.

Nandamannya Temple
In comparison with the small size of the temple, the interior walls
of the temple, arc completely covered with so impressive mural
paintings. Most of the paintings of Nandamannya are obviously
representing Theravada Buddhism.
The Thatbyinnyu Temple is noted for the highest structure laid cube
over cube while Dhammayangyi is well known for its most massive
structure and brick bondage system. Apart from such grand monuments,
delicate lacquerware production, local market and sandy shore by the
Ayeyarwaddy River are great moment for your leisure and pleasure.

Mt. Popa
Regarding the oasis of the central dry zone, some 47 miles away from
Bagan, that extinct volcanoe is isolated type covered with green
